In short: this is an unofficial hobby project. It is not connected with, or approved by, the people who own or made the original game. We do not give away the game, only the means to play it online. If you own rights in it and have a concern, please write to us.

An unofficial fan project
Neverwinter Nights Revival is run by volunteers, for fun and to keep an old game from being forgotten. It is not made, endorsed, sponsored or approved by Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro, SSI, Stormfront Studios, America Online, or by any other publisher, developer or rights holder of the original game, or of any later game, book or product that shares its name. It earns no money, runs no advertising, and sells nothing.
Trademarks and copyright
Dungeons & Dragons, Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, AD&D, Forgotten Realms, Neverwinter, and the names of related places, characters and products are trademarks or copyrights of their respective owners, including Wizards of the Coast LLC. They are used here only to say what this project is about. No claim of ownership is made.
The 1991 game Neverwinter Nights was made by SSI and Stormfront Studios and run by America Online. All rights in that game, its software, art, music and text belong to their respective owners. Other, later games are also called Neverwinter Nights; this project has no connection with them.
What we do and do not provide
- We do not distribute the game: not its program, its data files, its artwork or its music. To play you need your own copy of the original client.
- The browser version of the game is offline.
- The server is new software, worked out by studying how the client behaves. It contains no code from the original host, which was never available to us.
- The programs we offer for the player's PC (to connect and to change settings), the pages of the Adventurers' Hall, and the text of this site are our own work.
- The original newsletters are linked to, not copied: see the Archive page. They remain with their keepers and authors.
If you hold rights in the game
We would like to respect the people who made this game. If you own rights in it, or speak for someone who does, and you believe something here should be changed or taken down, please tell us through the contact form and choose "Rights holder". We will read it promptly and answer in good faith.
No warranty
The realm is a hobby service run by volunteers. It may be slow, unavailable, changed or switched off at any time, and characters, letters and other data may be lost. Everything is provided as it is, without any promise that it will work or suit your purpose, and you use it at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, the people who run it are not liable for loss or damage arising from its use.
Privacy
- This website sets no cookies and loads no scripts, fonts or images from other sites. The contact form keeps your name, email address and message, and your IP address for a short time to limit spam. We use them only to answer you.
- The realm keeps the account name and password you choose, your characters, and what you write in the Hall (letters, board posts and tavern chat), which the keepers can read. The server also keeps logs of connections, including IP addresses, to find and fix problems.
- We do not sell or share this information. To have your account or messages removed, write to us.
